Mind the workplace, not just the person: practical steps toward neuroinclusion
Bjièn
1 in 5 employees is neurodivergent—from autism and ADHD to high sensitivity and introversion. Yet, most organizations focus solely on “fixing” the individual, leading to masking, friction, and burnout. As we share in our book ‘Waarom normaal niet werkt’, real inclusion isn’t about just individual accommodations and diagnoses. It’s about adapting your workplace environment, leadership, HR policies, and team dynamics in a way that hidden barriers disappear, the 20% can thrive, and work becomes smoother for 100% of your team. Through hands-on, real-world examples, we’ll show you low-cost changes you can implement tomorrow.

This talk outlines how delaware actively supports neurodivergent professionals through concrete, actionable initiatives tailored to modern workplace environments. By sharing real-live examples, lessons learned, and positive business outcomes, we aim to inspire other organizations to remove barriers, foster psychological safety, and empower also neurodivergent talent to thrive.
